Hi there! My name is Asia Monae, and I am currently pursuing a major in Biomedical Sciences intending to become an anesthesiologist. Beyond academics, I play rugby for the University of Mary Washington where I also serve as a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) representative for my team. Additionally, I am an ambassador for the Student Transition Access Services (STARS) program, which provides resources for minorities and first-generation students ensuring they have a support system to continue their education
Before starting this class, I was ignorant of the digital study world and I still have a lot to learn. This whole experience has been a steep but exciting learning curve for me. Special shoutout to the lovely educators who work at the Hurley Convergence Center because of their assistance I have this website. Currently, this website has no concrete direction, it will go through many phases as I discover what works for me. As I become more confident in managing this digital space, I am excited about the possibilities and the potential for sharing my story in new and creative ways.
